Vegan Cheese Sauce

Serve 1

  • 60ml unsweetened almond milk,
  • 2 tsp nutritional yeast,
  • Italian herbs,
  • 1/2 tsp arrowroot tapioca starch

In a microwave safe bowl combine milk, yeast & herbs.

Sift in tapioca starch whilst stirring with a fork.

When smooth, microwave for 1 minute.

Be careful! Keep an eye on it at all times because it may rise over the edge of your bowl.

If it does rise, stop the microwave and stir with a spoon.

If it still has a milk-like texture continue microwaving for another minute, stir and microwave again 1 minute.

Let cool for a couple minutes for it to form a cheese-like texture.


This recipe is great for nachos, pizza, vegetables, and anything else you want with a delicious cheese sauce.
